A PASSION FOR DESIGN

Leslie Norton Fineo

Leslie Norton Fineo — known as “Les” to friends and clients — likes to say that interior design is in her DNA. Both of her parents were in the business and some of her earliest memories include spending time at their interior design store.

After earning her BFA at University of Illinois, Les pursued careers in dance and fashion. She was a fit model for high-end designers, which eventually led to sales management positions for several luxury Italian fashion houses, where her interest in design and fabric led to her passion as an interior designer.

Moving to the East End full-time a decade ago, Les became the manager of MONC XIII, Sag Harbor’s luxury home furnishings store featuring mid-century antiques and modern décor. Working closely with clients at the store, Les cultivated a well-trained eye for furnishings and textiles and gained extensive experience in merchandising, sourcing, pricing, reupholstering, window treatments, and every facet of contemporary interior design.

From a childhood steeped in the interior design business, through her careers in fashion and home furnishings, to discovering a passion for homes, Les has truly come full circle with the creation of Leslie Norton Fineo Interiors.
